    La Directive Habitats-Faune-Flore (DHFF) prévoit un suivi dans le temps de l’état de conservation des espèces d’intérêt communautaire. En France, cette surveillance reste peu développée pour les invertébrés.

    The Habitats Directive requires the conservation status of species of Community interest to be monitored over time. In France, this monitoring remains poorly developed for invertebrates.

    Nous avons réalisé un inventaire des amphibiens du massif du Mitaraka au sud-ouest de la Guyane durant 15 jours pendant la saison des pluies.

    We undertook a 15-day survey of the amphibian fauna of the Mitaraka massif in southwestern French Guiana during the rainy season. We detected 56 species (12 species detected for the first time), inclu­ding six only thanks to their calls.

    Le quart de la biodiversité forestière est « saproxylique » (associée au bois mort et aux micro-­habitats portés par les [vieux] arbres). Les insectes coléoptères, riches de 2663 espèces attachées à 74 familles en France, et qui dominent le cortège saproxylique avec les champignons, constituent­ ainsi un groupe indicateur fréquemment utilisé dans le monde forestier. Le suivi de cette riche biodiversité représente toutefois un véritable défi. En effet, trente ans après la prescription du Conseil de l’Europe, qui encourageait les gouvernements européens à utiliser prioritairement les organismes saproxyliques pour évaluer l’état de conservation des forêts, peu d’outils sont disponibles pour assurer cette mission...
